Marylin Rose Frost reached an opening in the pass and saw a small little house made of Ice and sticks. She slowly walked up to it and looked in through the window, she wasn’t very comfy with everything being made of ice, but could live with it she supposed. A loud thundering sound breached the silence of the slowly falling snow.

The giant ogre walked up to her and bent over. “Do ‘ous know ‘here ‘ou ‘re?” He asked softly.

“No, I don’t, my father died and my mother’s been dead, and several people have just killed my nanny.” She said crying.

The ogre stopped and dropped the giant icicle and gently patted the girl on the head with his finger. “I is ‘oosin’ me famie ‘oo.”

“You lost your family too, I see were in the same boat, I’m Marylin.” she said extending her arm.

“I ogre.” He said shaking her hand with his finger.

“You don’t have a real name?” She said wiping the tears out of her eyes. The ogre shook his head, “I will name you Mountain than, your as tall as one.”

The Ogre grabbed Marylin up in his hand and put her on his shoulder, “ook.” He said pointing out over the village, a tall smoke stack was rising up and it suddenly stopped.

Cassandra was walking along the path back to her domain when she heard a loud growl. She turned to find the ice bears. “You guys!” She went around to the back and found Elizabeth sleeping. She set down the book in the slay and went up to talk with the bears. “Okay, where’s Jack?”
“Jack is in the village, he said someone has taken his carry. We are to take her to his ice home at the edge of the path witch of woods.” The tall one grunted and he took off again with the three keeping his pace perfectly.

“That man has gotten himself in trouble, had to remember the nanny!” She said jumping down off the side of the cliff to have some vines catch her comfortably at the bottom of the mountain.

The villager surrounded Jack but he just smiled and concentrated. “You’re the witch!” A woman yelled hurling a chunk of ice. It stopped in midair and revolved around him slowly. Other pieces flew from roof tops and side walks, and the ice just kept circling him.
Jack opened his eyes and the ice blew out away from him and into the crowd and kept going till everyone was hit and dead on the ground.

Cassandra walked into town worried, he would have gotten killed by now. She turned a corner and found the body of a dead child. She bent down beside it and looked at it, there was a giant chunk of ice sticking out the throat of him. “My god.” she whispered as she looked up and saw piled of bodies, and at the center a chair.

It was red with blood and made of ice, upon it Jack Frost, crying.

“Jack, what have you done,” she said coming up and placing a hand on his knee, “you slaughtered them, even the children.”

“They killed me, why should they live and I die?” He said rasing his head a bit to see over his blonde bangs. “What’s fair in that.” He lowered his head again and began weeping more. “Elizabeth is alive again, I don’t know why.”

“She shared her tea obviously.” Cassandra said, “Jack, killing is wrong, do you know what you said where you were talking with Shyna the first time? ‘You are the problem in my life’. She was, I found her book, it had a log, she use a spell that takes away ones Illness and puts it on another. Jack, she put it on your wife, than she put it on your daughter, and she was planning to put it on you, but you died, so she put it on Elizabeth.

“She was a true evil person. You are not, you are a wonderful father, your daughter is waiting for you.” Cassandra stepped back and Jack looked up.

“Than I shall give them a proper funeral when we get to the Ice house.”

Mountain set Marylin down and waved goodbye, “‘emember ‘e!” Mountain had had a long talk with Marylin and she told him about the other lands where there mighty be other ogres. He left and she sighed. “Stupid creature, thank god I got it way.”

The slay pulled up and Marylin went over and pet the bears, “you’re very handsome.”

“Thank you, Marylin Frost.” The bear replied standing up and removing his harness. The bear went to the back of the slay and picked up Elizabeth’s body. “Marylin Frost, where do you want this woman?”

“Leave her there, right now there is no proper place for her.” The bear slowly lowered her body back down and Marylin rushed over to see Elizabeth. She had color in her cheeks and her breathing was strong but she looked as though she was sick. “Elizabeth, wake up, it’s me Marylin, Marylin Frost.”

“Hello dearie,” a tired voice said from Elizabeth’s throat. Elizabeth fell back asleep and Marylin turned to the bears, “your dismissed, ice bears.” They nodded and went into the ground. Marylin climbed in the slay than noticed she was sitting on something hard, a book.

Marylin opened it and began to read to herself. ‘This book is property of the Frost family.’ She shut it and remembered what Jack had told her, sometimes just because their family doesn’t mean you should help them. Marylin felt that this was one of them.
She heard the sound of crunching snow and saw her father come up the hill with Cassandra following just behind. “Daddy.” She set the book down and walked over to her father, “the house isn’t suited for us daddy, I can’t live in ice.”

“I never planned you to. Marylin I’m sending you to Cassandra’s woods to live, she’s going to teach you.” He said sitting down in the snow and making it form into random buildings.

Marylin sat down next to him, “must I go with her? I really do want to stay with you.”

“You can,” said Cassandra patting her head, “it’s just you will be visiting, my home is only an hour from here in a nice warm wood.”

Marylin nodded and pointed to the slay. “What will happen to Elizabeth?”

“I will take care of her.” Jack said standing up and strolling forwards to the sleigh, “Shyna made one last transfer that I have to take care of. Watch her for me till I get back Cassandra.” Cassandra nodded and Jack propelled the slay forwards and into motion rising above the mountains and off deep into the woods till he saw a green little glen where he lowered into.

Getting out Jack grabbed the book and picked up Elizabeth’s body to lay her on a stone slab.
“Shyna, wake up.”

“You found out so soon Jack.” The voice said in Elizabeth’s throat, “I would open my eyes but than I would be trapped in this meadow forever.”

“You will anyway.” Jack said opening the book.

“You have no clue how to use that, even if you did Elizabeth would still die.”

Jack stood silent for a minute, “I know.” He went back to shuffling through the pages.
