Cassandra didn’t have time to talk her down and instead just tied her up with vines. Marylin looked over at her, “Mother let me down, I can kill him for what he did to the village below.”

Jack just sat on his couch laughing his head off, “she’s even got your rage. This is funny.”

“Marylin, stop throwing fireballs at him.” Cassandra walked over to her and looked at her, “why were you throwing them in the first place.”

“You were kidnapped, weren’t you?” Marylin yelled. Jack wasn’t helping a bit just sitting their laughing.

Cassandra rolled her eyes, “no, I wasn’t kidnapped. What on earth gave you that idea?”

“What on earth gave you the idea to marry him?” Cassandra slapped her across the face and jack stopped laughing.

“You never question me or my actions, young lady.” Cassandra let the vines retract and Marylin stood their shocked and awed. “We’ll discuss this over breakfast.”

“I’m just going to go and freeze up a dining room really quickly then.” Jack walked out of the room and went across the throne room, across from the side parlor. He opened up the wall and made an amazing opening. He stepped to the edge and within seconds grew a whole new addition to the palace.

Silverback, Deep Fang, and her mate Long Claw rushed through the woods to Jack’s land. They rushed down the hill and saw a new spire go up into his castle.

“Looks like the misses wanted some redecorating done.” Silverback jested through his worried face. “Come on, we need to move faster!” The three wolves sped up and dashed across the ice.

Jack decided it was best if they, besides him, sat in something other then ice and ate off something other too. The three girls rushed over and stared at him happily.

“I’m Gina!” Gina stepped forward and bowed. “This is Kristine and Regina.” The two took their respective bows and moved foreword.

“Is it true you married Mistress Cassandra?” Kristine asked.

“Was it a nice wedding?” Regina asked.

Jack suddenly remembered Marylin being like this. “Yes, I am married to her. It would have been a nicer wedding if I could understand anything Mistress Fyra said.” The girls nodded in understand-ment. “Can you three make things like Cassandra can?”

“Out of wood only though, we’re not skilled enough to do anything better yet.” Regina said.

“Why?” Kristine asked.

“Well, could you make a large dining table and a master chair and four smaller chairs?” Jack asked, “I thought you probably wouldn’t like sitting on ice and eating off ice.”

“Good point.” Gina said and the girls joined hands and began to grow six large posts in a rectangular shape and had branches come off and form a table top. They then grew each chair separately, starting with the largest chair and then doing the four smaller chairs.

“Where are you going to sit?” Regina asked. “The big chair’s for Mistress, then we and Marylin get the other four, leaving no chair for you.”

Jack looked at them smiling and snapped his fingers as a large chair of ice with intricate detailing rose almost instantly from the floor.

“Amazing…” Kristine said.

“Here’s something for growing those items for me.” Jack stepped a couple feet back and several large snow horses rose from the ground just about their size.

“Come on, girls, get in you seats.” Cassandra said smiling. Marylin walked in with a scornful look on her face. They all sat down and Cassnadra grew fruits and vegetables right on the table. “Well done girls, very nice.”

Cassandra stared over at Jack who was looking down at the wood. “Jack…”

“Huh?” He muttered as he looked up.

“Would you mind making silverware, we can’t do it with out getting splinters in out food.” Jack smiled and took a deep breath. He blew out ice and snow which formed into plates, knives, spoons and forks. There was also large bowls to put some of the fruit in and cups for everyone. Jack didn’t make anything for himself.

“Aren’t you going to eat?” Gina asked.

“I don’t eat; I died a very long time ago when my body turned into snow and ice.” Jack said and grew small little people to deliver the food to the plates.

A mound grew up by the entrance to the new room and Frosty formed. “Master, the wolves are on their way, they seemed troubled by something.”

“Thank you, dismissed.” Jack stood up and looked over to Cassandra, “excuse me.” He walked out of the room and Frosty sank back into the snow. Jack made three feet out of the door when Silverback burst into the throne room yelling. “Sire! Shyna has summoned Strigori on us, we must move quickly if we are to defeat her.”

Cassandra heard the news and froze. “Marylin take the girls back to the cabin and keep yourselves inside. What ever you do don’t lose that book.”

“I went to look for it earlier, but it wasn’t there.” Marylin said quickly.

“Damn!” She said. She rushed out of the room to Jack. “Shyna’s book is no longer at my cabin.”

“It’s here in my place.”

“We personally went to get it on the King’s orders.” Deep Fang said bowing.

“I knew she was coming, so I took early precaution if you don’t mind.” Marylin heard this and rushed out, her hands covered in fire.

“You took my book!”

“Marylin Rose, go sit down!” Jack roared at her.

She looked at him, “how do you know my middle name.”

“I’ll explain later, now go sit down.” Marylin extinguished her hands and went back to her seat pouting. “Cassandra, come with me. Silverback, get your pack and have them come in here for protection.”

The wolves nodded and headed out the door. Jack grabbed Cassandra’s hand and pulled her into his room where he had the book come out of the wall. He handed it to her and opened to a specific page.

“This is the spell to get rid of her permanently.” Jack said quickly, “I wasn’t as powerful as I am now when I originally performed it but, I’m afraid my winter magic won’t do.”

“Do you want me to do it?” Cassandra asked.

“It has to be a member of the Frost family by blood.” Jack said staring across the throne room into the dining room to see Marylin talking with the girls.

“Should we tell her?”

“Do you think it will make things better?”

“Could it make it worse?” Cassandra asked, shrugging her shoulders.

“You have no idea.”
