This is kind of written from the perspective of a person, a writer most likely, who is almost held prisoner by their imagination. They have a lot of pent up anger at something, and disturbed nightmares that just feed the imagination. It makes the person feel insane, all the thoughts he has... Thoughts which aren't on a pleasant side, most of the time.

Imagination

Imagination - another word for taking chances;
Men and woman; exchanging risky glances.
And demons, vampires - monsters galore;
Grinning with bloody fangs, wanting more.
Imagination - another word for insanity;
Nightmares, released, lacking humanity.
And all the thoughts, the pent up rage...
Those feelings, being released on the page.
Imagination - making us crazy...
On, on it goes, never leaving us be;
Never allowing us to be free.
