Last night I dreamed...
Of the day we first met -
Shy smiles,
And shy glances.

Last night I dreamed...
Of our first kiss -
The feel of your soft lips,
And their wonderful taste.

Last night I dreamed...
That we were lovers -
Your hands touching me,
Your smile in the dark.

Last night I dreamed...
That we were together for years -
Spending the days together,
Happy and in love.

Last night I dreamed...
That you proposed -
Down on one knee,
Your hands shaking.

Last night I dreamed...
That we shared this home -
That I woke up to your face,
And your “I love you”s, every day.

Last night I dreamed...
That we had a baby -
A sweet little girl,
And she had your eyes.

Last night I dreamed...
That you were still here -
That you apologized,
Realized you made a mistake.

Last night I dreamed...
Those haunting dreams of you -
And this morning,
I woke with tears in my eyes.
