Were I - but a skeptic
And able to preserve Doubt
I would question every Detail
And Fact that crossed my path

And were I a Dreamer -
a child of Visions
My fiction would run
the world 'round backwards

Wer I a critic
Borne to Judge others
My opinions would hold Strong
Against the Crashing Tides

Were I a - Genius
Famed as a thinker of Thoughts
I would leave the Print of my
Mind on all I Touched

Were I a Lover -
With romantic Charm all my own
I'd mint my Heart and Coin it
to Sell to all I know

Were I a Songbird
and made gift to a King
I'd sing till my song Spent
Then Sing through - again

But - were I a Person
Left to live My own Life
Like as not, I'd keep It
Forever to - Myself
