I sighed as my teacher droned on. It was math class, and I was bored out of my wits. I looked down at my notes, and back up at the teacher. My eyes wandered from place to place, falling on a different object then leaving it for another. I stopped and blinked as my eyes fell upon him. He had dark blonde, wavy hair, and clear blue eyes, that at the moment seemed alittle hazed over. He had fair, yet sort of darkened skin, and a few freckles here and there. He had one elbow on his desk, and his hand resting on his neck. His other hand, the right, was writing quickly, and trying to keep up with the teacher's words. I smiled to myself. He looked like an angel sent from God above.
"Melissa! Melissa! What is the answer?" I jumped alittle as I heard my name called. I looked up at the over-head that my teacher was writing on, the one with a problem on it.
"Ah......four-
"That's correct." The teacher said as he wrote down the answer. I looked back over to the boy, who's gaze met mine. Our eyes locked for a while, then we both quickly turned away.
I had met my angel, my Sam.
I sat at the bench-like lunchtable, starring at my food. I had these things simliar to crutans. I made a face. They looked so....wierd. I shuddered. The noise in our large lunchroom made it hard for one to think. It was leftover day, which meant that all the gross food was being served. The only good thing on my plate was my chocolate pudding, which even looking at made me feel ill. I picked up the crutans and dumped then onto Nathan's plate, who was sitting across from me.
"What are these for?" He asked, a quizical look crossing his freckled face, his dark brown eyes starring at the food, then me, then the food again.
"I don't feel like eating today." I replied.
"Well, alright then..." He said as he ran a hand through his curly dark brown hair. I giggled as Jason, who was sitting next to him, stole a few.
"Hey!" Nathan said in a deep voice. Jason only popped them all into his mouth at once. Nathan playfully punched him in the shoulder. I rolled my eyes. This happened every day at lunch.
"Are you going to eat that?" I turned around to face the face of Sam, who was pointing to my pudding. I shook my head, and said, "No-I ah, I'm not hungry." I tripped over my words as I spoke.
"Thanks." Sam replied with a smile as he lifted the pudding off my plate. Soon after, I stood up, and began to walk to the trashcans.
"Aren't you going to get anything else to eat?" Jason asked as he too stood up, but only to get second, thirds, or fourths, I had lost count.
"No, I'm not too hungry today." I said as I shook my head.
"Alright then." He replied with a shrug and a smile full of braces. I smiled back, and I went on my way.
I store down at the words written on the pages of my book, but I found that I could not focus on them. The noisy bus was not a good enviroment for reading, that was for sure. I sighed. The noise was unnearving. I almost lost my mind when the girl who was sitting on the seat next to me began to laugh uncontrolably in that high-pitched manor. I let out a soft growl-like noise, and I turned to face the girl, with a scowl on my face. She imediatly shut up, and just sat there. I turned to the window, and I stared at the frosty patterns on it. I sighed. I hated riding this bus. I was surrounded by the popular girls on our bus. I shook my head. Why me? I thought with a sigh.
