Sunlight


Splice the clouds.
Ignite the fields.


Chase the shadows.
Dissolve the mists.


Silhouette the figures
that lie in your haze.
Illuminate the dust motes
normally immune to our gaze.


Dance with the wind.
Shine through the leaves.


Dapple the water.
Burnish the skin.


Warm our minds
with memories of the past,
for you're the sun,
shall your light forever last.
