Winter

Painting the world.
Crystalyzing everything
Into one solid state.
Devoid of all colour
Yet able to reflect them all,
This infectious monotone palate.
Those who resist
Are slowlyg won over
By the seducing movements.
Eyes tracing the lines and curves
Created by the Father,
Adding beauty to the Mother.
Bringing into contrast
Our somewhat dulled senses.
Blinded by reflections.
Struck breathless with each
Frigid inhalation.
Able to separate the unknown sounds
Of the everyday life.
Show us the hidden trails of nature.
Lead us through their lives.
Reaveal the inner architecture
Of the world's first buildings.
Carpet the ground with layers
As an example.
Lead us into a slumber
Filled with undiscovered treasures
To explore in the dreams
That occupy us until Spring.
