Storms 12-13-2005

The storm had just passed,
Dark foreboding clouds of black and ashes,
Eve’ though the house,
Lay riddled in shadow gray.

The sky turned bright like quicksilver,
Lighting up the dry,
Coarse grass I lay upon,
There it was again,
Danger.

My eyes turned upward,
Basking in silver,
Calming.

The house pulsed out,
Bleached sinister calls,
The storm over the earth was over,
The storm within the house,
Had just begun.

2006-01-28 Emily: Oh, I really liked that. The imagery is nice, but it also makes your skin tingle.

The picture painted was just beautiful, and the ending "The storm over the earth was over, The storn within the house, Had just begun" -- so many ways to interpret that. Beautiful piece.
