I was swinging side to side, lost in white mist. It tingled when it touched me, but just underneath my skin, I was filled with heavy darkness. Dew kept forming on my cheeks and sliding down to drip into my collar. I didn't bother to brush them away anymore. I tried to swallow the lump that had formed in my throat, but it hurt too much; a tight pain that barely let in enough air to breathe. My vision blurred. My hands lay limply in my lap. My backbone curled downwards, unable to support itself. A soft moan whispered from my lips. I wanted to become the mist, fade away into it, like I had never been there at all.
