[Today for you, tomorrow for me]: 256.Poetry.A Longing for Mortality
Rating: 0.00
Darkness . . .
Emptiness is what she feels
A hunger
For the forbidden
She is determined not to be like the others
She has values . . .
Morals . . .
A sense of right and wrong!
As her weaknesses allow
And her flaws are many
She is not mindless
But she is close to giving in
Is her question
She often wonders
What stood out strong
What trait brought her this
Isn’t that how it goes
Then why can’t she control
This so called “gift”
It is her curse
If only she could let herself give in
But she won’t
She will walk the Earth, forever tormented
By something she cannot change
What did she do to deserve this
She was kind . . .
Caring . . .
She was a model citizen
And every gift its curse
Why can’t she find the gift
In this on going torment
This eternal Hell
And has since tormented herself
Longing to be relieved of this curse
Longing to feel
Longing for mortality
How it went by so fast
Now after hundreds of years
She longs for death
Longs for peace
So fragile
So weak
So easily preyed upon
They have a chance for death
Why she wants them
Because she sees in them
What she so desperately longs for
Because, to her, they are perfect
This vampire life behind
Why can’t she be mortal again
She longs for its weaknesses
And longs for the peaceful rest at the end
