You say those words the burn,
But love can rebound.
Apologies told, yet I still yearn.
You know what I feel.
You tell me, “I hate”
Now it's hard to heal.
And I am tired of your games.
I am sick of this mutual malice,
Done with your absurd claims!
This is the only way I know.
Disappointment will pass
We are through with such woe!
I will forgive you, in the end.
I will journey down this new path,
For how else we could ever mend?
You have my adoration.
You’ve always had my pardon
No matter the situation.
For that’s what daughters do.
I will take everything in stride,
For you need me and I love you.
