Can you tell a child that they wont live
Can you look into their eyes
Say that their mother doesnt want them
And has let them out to die

Thrown into the garbage can
As if scraps from last nights meal
A lack of courage and any love
I cant believe this is real

Or when times get rough
A child sold for the sex trade
As young as five years
Their life has been made

Owned by another person
They are shown no mercy at all
Supposed to be in kindergarten
But thats not their call

Or a child in a factory
Working all obscene hours of the day
Forced in the darkness
To keep her job and family at bay

Killing her at thirty years
No children or love can she anticipate
For her unfortunate circumstances
Has delivered her such fate

Could you look the child in the eye
Tell it that your better than it somehow
That it can watch it's own mother starve
And no heartache to which you'd avow

The people are reaching, screaming for help
Why is the world so blind
Everyone needs to do their part in the fight
In order to save mankind
