My life didn’t begin when I thought it did,
Back as a baby or a very young kid.
It didn’t start as a teen,
Or in an emotional scene.

My life didn’t begin when I thought it had,
When I was good or bad.
It didn’t start in a dream,
Or at the end of a terrifying scream.

My life didn’t begin with song or dance,
In the middle of thought-like trance.
It didn’t start with a crash,
Or at my first bash.

My life didn’t begin in a tantrum or fit,
Not when I learned to sit.
It didn’t start when I ate a poptart,
Or raced my first go-cart.

My life began with our first kiss,
It rang through me with such heavenly bliss.
Life began wrapped in your warm hug,
So soft, tight and snug.

My life began with your strong love!
Like a beautiful white dove.
Life began with slipping on a gold ring,
I am so happy I could sing.
