[Talenya]: 299.Poetry.As I Sit Around & Wait

Note: I wrote this V-day of '03...I was in class, bored, and thinking with an overly romantic mind set (Sorry, but 'some times' I can be a hope-less romantic.)

As I sit around and wait,
And wait for a love,
That’s suppose to be,
Sooooo great!
I start to think of,
All my friends,
That have someone.
I’d like to be,
In their shoes.
With eyes all a glow,
That dreamy expression that’s on the face,
The twittering heart as you hold hands,
And,
That loving look in your eyes when you get a kiss.
Yes,
As I sit around and wait,
For a love; A love that will wait,
I think of all my friends who now are sad,
Sad because their love didn’t last.
I see this and weep,
Both happy and sad.
That they had a taste,
A taste that didn’t last.
