I belong to long ago times,
Even when they had no happy endings,
I belong to far away lands,
Even with their drought or famine.
I say this with a proud yet heavy heart,
For my days have passed,
I no longer belong in this world,
I am lost among this cold and desolate era,
In which people only strive to serve themselves.
I belong to the days long passed,
In times and places unknown,
When a smile more often than not was just a smile,
And tears were shed in unrest.
There are many wonderful…colorful things now,
But at what coast did they come about?
Were these new things worth the trouble and pain?
Was it worth all the lives and ways of life?
Could you continue to say your hallow answers,
Without true thought of cons that outweigh pros,
In the changing of the eras?
I belong to the long ago days,
Even when they had no happy endings,
I belong to far away lands,
Even with their drought and famine.
And…my heart will ever dwell there…
