[Talenya]: 299.Poetry.Ode to the Warriors of Old

NOTE: This was inspired while listening to an instrumental song and the talk of those long ago battles when people fought with a different yet no less amazing type of skill, honor, and so much more. These people fought bravely and yet so many of the fallen are no longer remembered--here is to them.

Fought With heart & heated Steal,
The clang of sword upon sword and shield,
The only ringing upon the field,
A song only a few live to hear again,
Song of warriors tried and true.
Fleet of foot & sure of sword,
Deadly grace in time with song,
That make the dance,
What horrible beauty it doth produce,
The hot flow of blood,
And cold bite of steel,
Testify of a warriors skill.
