Rain

Tear drops falling from the skies.
The angry clouds pouring
Their sorrows down upon the earth.
Sweet clean rain from the heavens
Fall on me and wash me clean.
Cleanse my body, my soul.
Let your soft pitter patter
Whisper in my ear.
In forest far
In forest wide.
Quench their thirst and mine as well.
Fill the raging rivers!
Top the gentle pond.
Keep me with you O! Sweet rain
Keep falling upon me.
Stay pure and stay clean.
Please keep my sorrows away.
Rain….
Never stray away from me.

2006-03-03 Dead/Alive: I like how you made the rain symblize tears......When I read this, I got a mental picture of moving through a forest with the rain falling and the sound of a river off in the distance, passing by a calm pond.......I wonder.....is this how you were inspired to write this?
