[Peregrine]: 379.Scraps & Prose.A Letter to Anthony

Dear Anthony--

Times have been better. The skies are dark all the time, and I haven't eaten anything but lettuce for the past 12 days.
For some reason, every slug in a two mile radius has been drawn to my front stoop, so I have to climb out the window to get outside. I tried to sweep them off with a broom, but they're too slimy and just stuck to the pavement.
I don't have the heart to salt them. I don't have the saly, either, just lettuce because you left so much in my refridgerator. But thanks a lot for that, by the way: it's been a real life saver.
There's been this guy in a zombie mask who likes to stand by my mailbox and smoke in the mornings. I think he lives down the street or something, but it's driving me crazy.
Oh, but your suggestion worked, by the by. I haven't had a burnt-out lightbult in a couple of weeks, so thanks a lot for that.
Hope things are going better for you, Anthony. Tell me how that bathtub worked out.
