Evenstar looked deep into her eyes, his heart heavy, beating slowly and painfully. "I can't protect you." he said softly. He loved her so much, yet he couldn't always be there to protect her. His heart ached. Tears rimmed his warm brown eyes as he felt he would have to say good bye to his love to keep her safe. She smiled resolutely back at him, holding his hand tighter. "You won't have to." she said and kissed him passionately. The air around Willowharp shimmered as she shifted, bit by bit, into a grycantrhope. “I’ll fight and die beside you.”
