That final day
We were all so scared
This was the day
About classes no one cared.

That final day
It was teh end
But also a beginning
With new obstacles and bends.

As the time grew near
The more nervous we became
We knew after tonight
Nothing would be the same.

When the fateful hour
Was finally on hand
We knew our time had come
In the hourglass run out had the sand.

As we walked the walk
That seemed like a mile
There were people all around us
Their faces lit with smiles.

As we took our seats
And reviewed what we learned
It seemed like forever
As we each waited our turn.

As our names were called
And we walked those stairs
We looked at the people
Who about us did care.

We took the piece of paper
And shook the teacher's hand
Cameras flashed and cheers rang out
That could be heard across the land.

After the ceremony
We danced and dined
For on that memorable night
We graduated to grade nine.
