I am unique
I am one amoung many
I am not a Bob or Jack
A Jill or Jenny

I am not a Kyle
A James, Jon or Fred
I am my own person
Unique amoung my friends.

I say yes to the good
And no to the bad
But some that upsets
Some it makes mad.

I know the difference
Between right and wrong
Though I'm still pressured
And given dance and song.

I stand up for my values
For my beliefs and morals
Though it may cause problems
Fights or quarrels.

I will not change
Just to fit in
I don't care about being popular
Though some think it a sin.

I like the way I am
I don't care what others say
About my clothes or appearance
Or how I'm portrayed.

The friends I have
Don't try to change me
They like me as a person
So a persona I need not be.
