That night I came home late,weary from another endless day being a nanny at kindergarden. When I switched off my bedroom lights, in the blurry picture before my eyes there was still one left. I turned my head towards the table and saw it dancing merrily like a candle flame. A candle! I was sure I had not one at home, no one had these days... My eyes leapt into focus, all of a sudden. It was the candle. The flame I had waited all of these years stared at me with his deep gaze. He had come home.
