The wind was howling around the corners of the buildings, whistling between trees, bending the flagpole sideways, and generally making going outside a really bad idea, when I got the notice. I hadn't seen a storm like that before. It was fascinating, how powerful the nature is, man feels utterly little and meaningless in the presence of such might.

I was sitting with my hands in my lap, hump back, looking out of the window pointlessly. I will have to eat, eventually. Not now- it's not yet a necessity... Sleep? It's midday! I resumed the meaningless staring out of the window. Everything seemed to be weirdly empty, my eyes were set at the storm that went mad outside with no mercy, but that was somehow outside, I was admiring it but didn't actually see it. It doesn't affect me, so I don't have to think of it. Somewhere in the depths of my head I heard a dissonant, never ending suite of melodies known to me. A voice swam out of this cluster- "Go outside." I heard it, but lacked the will to understand the meaning of these words. My mind, having understood that this way it isn't going to convince me, got to other methods. A few minutes later I understood. I had to go outside.

I put on my shoes and crossed the doorstep. The storm was raging as I stood there, admiring nature's power. I spread my arms, closed my eyes and lifted my head to feel the charged air to the fullest. Wind hit me so hard that my hair got loose and started dancing in the air. I opened my eyes and looked at it, the wind, started to walk towards it. Rain started, and my hair soon whipped my face and arms, completely soaked. I swung the hair on my back, laughed and swiftly turned around, so that it hit my face and stayed there. When, with a lot of shaking my head and helping with hands, I got rid of it, I jumped in a puddle. The water that splashed out against the wind, hit my trousers a moment later. I lifted my eyes. The leaves that wind had torn from the nearby tree, were madly spinning in the rain, I started chasing them, laughed madly when I finally managed to catch one. Then, like a glove of the nature, splashing mud at me, a whole tree branch hit the ground. I quickly bowed, thanked the storm and made my way back into the house. Dueling with nature, the only sane choice is the white flag.

I swiftly changed to dry clothes and made a cup of tea. When I looked out of the window, behind of the whirlpool of leaves, there was a notice of the flagpole breaking. I bent my head in a moment of thankfulness to the wild for being my playmate a little while. Then I set off to find an original recipe in the cookbook.
