Holding space in the palm of your hand
Seeing through time in a moment.
Observing a universe through a grain of sand
Watching life grow inside cement.

This is where my journey leads
Over sad grey hills, under dark, cold caves.
Through the swamps and mists of time
Watching the bright blue crashing waves.

Can you hear me, can you see me
Walking down the street watching you?
I’m always out there, just simply staring
Watching your life pass you by.

You’re all hurrying to your lives, whatever they
may be, putting sad masks on for years.
Will you ever stop your masquerade?
Stop shedding those crystalline tears.

Time’s always a short fleeting thing,
You could never know till it has flown
It’ll soar far away, off on the wing,
You’d be left here, forever alone.
