Words smooth as chocolate
Wrap themselves around my weak heart
I bend selflessly to your will
A noble sacrifice for the greater good
Or so I think...
My mind grows faint as your lips draw near
I cannot stand in your presence
I've gone blind to the world around me
Danger looms ahead that I cannot foresee
Angel's lips call to me
Tempting me further from the truth
Turn away from the serpent's fruit I must
As delicious as it must look,
It holds more pain within it
Than the utter agony of a silent night.
