As darkness fell around me, I could see the moon disappearing behind the mist. The wind gently came across my shadow and there I was alone, left stood before his castle. The wet soil beneath me sunk further and clenched my feet. The trees swayed around me as if almost dancing and trying to reach out to something I could never understand. I felt a gentle tickle down my spine, almost like a creepy feeling, a presence that leered beside me. Pushing the gate I could just make out a ghostly figure, it was then a sudden crash behind me dragged my attention to the gate. The figure had vanished, and I was left there in darkness, trapped...

The castle towered before me, and darkness glared at me through cracked windows. Isolation ripped me, and darkness enveloped me. The steps covered in dried leaves and rainwater, as I slowly walked towards the door. My eyes peered before me, displaying a notice engraved in many languages. My hand trembled as I reached for the handle, but before I could just touch the furnish, the door creaked open and a wave of breeze came around me. Like glue, I stood there for at least ten minutes before I could find the strength to enter.

In front of me lay a dark narrow corridor, black smothered on walls and a red carpet that reached as far as I could see. Eyes gaped at me through portraits, and a blurry vision entered my mind. Dogs howled and storms rose, a frightening feeling of disownment entered my body. A sense of impending doom followed my footsteps as I entered the unknown. Shadows danced around me, as a pain entered my head clutching my mind as if to forever hold on to these broken thoughts that haunted me.

The floor beneath me parted and I realised I was falling. Stones flew beside me as I attempted to grab hold of anything that came my way. With a thump, I landed. Darkness in every corner, but a candle which was lit with a flame that sat in the center. Silvery webs that shone above and cracks in mirrors which broke me into many parts. A weakness grew within me, and I panicked. Standing up, I felt every corner of the dark room with my bare hands. Nothing touched my palms but dust and dirt. A strange passageway appeared, yellow and red that dangled from it. I began to walk, unaware of my surroundings. Music played and my ears were screaming. I followed the sound like a bee following pollen. The song stopped, and so did I like the music controlled me madly..

My attention was suddenly grabbed by a room beside me, screaming for me to crawl in to it and witness something I could never explain. I pushed the door open, and there stood a tall man with a glass of wine in one hand. ‘’Hello’’ He spoke, but never turnt to look at me once, his gaze forever centered on the flame that rose before him. Taunted stares and misunderstood emotions filled my body, almost suffocating me. Confusion fell around us both, and he finally put his glass down but still did not turn. ‘’Hi... Are you Dracus Wilmer?’’ I withered, my voice shattered and my fears began to come back. An awkward silence came between us except the dead sound of echoed cries that ran through the room.

Peering through the window I could see in the distance the sun setting, the rays of orange and red sunlight reflected in his eyes. Although he seemed a soft character, first impressions were never right. Through the reflection of warmth in his eyes, all I could see was horrifying figures and darkness. At this I turned to go, and it was then he turnt to me, ‘’don’t leave yet’’ in shock as to why he should stop me, I froze my movements completely still. ‘’I have many things to show you. Don’t tell me you’ve come so far for nothing?’’ He smiled, and I just managed to return his gestures. Inside I could feel the broken part of me, the part which was supposed to protect me. Like a mirror, it shattered, completely vanishing my reflection and me. Nothing stood between us but the hollow whistles through the keyhole.

part 2..
An outburst of screams echoed through my mind. Suffocation gently clenched my throat, and not a breath touched the cold air. My eyes burnt and darkness discovered me, a faint feeling of hunger sat inside of me. Satan whispered into my ears and a vision of darkness owned me. A child lay in my arms and then it changed. Torture, burning, children crying. Warmth touched my palms and the blurry sight of fire swept me. ‘’Are you okay?’’ the familiar voice brought kindness to my ears and I jumped up, drenched in fear. Dracus knelt before me, his eyes a soft blue which opened his soul. A smile opened beneath me and a laugh crept from under me. His face stood so close to mine, almost touching. I could feel his breath against my face and his eyes staring back at mine. A ghostly scream interrupted us and Dracus stood up immediately. ‘’What was that?’’ I asked, he still stood in shock. Still, he did not answer but put his hand out to help me up. Standing next to him he walked to one corner of the room and picked up a long black coat and a hat. ‘’Dracus? What’s going on?’’ My eyes followed him and he headed for the door. Temper and fear grew inside me and I stood in front of the door, my palm tightly lent against the door, leaving him trapped. His jaw clenched and a sigh touched this still breeze. ‘’Well?’’. Dracus took a few steps back and put down his coat. Walking towards me I could feel suspicion. I picked up the umbrella which stood next to me and held it up to him. ‘’don’t come near me’’ his eyes so wide they nearly jumped out of his skull. ‘’I don’t remember you telling me your name’’ as he said this he walked slowly towards the wine cabinet and fetched 2 glasses and an old bottle of whisky. ‘’Well, Dracus. Why must one need to know my name? Clearly we have gone the past hours without mentioning my name.’’ A laugh echoed from him, and walking towards me he handed me a glass. ‘’you’re a smart girl, maybe too smart. What do you want?’’ Saying this, he poured the whisky into my glass, and then into his own. ‘’What do I want?’’ He placed his glass down, taking mine. ‘’Well, yes. Was there really any need to stop me from leaving this room?’’ Silence stood between us. I wouldn’t describe it as awkward, but surprisingly soothing to be able to hear my breath touch the air. ‘’you’re a confusing child.’’ My jaw clenched tightly. ‘’I’m not a child may I correct you. And I must say, why did you need to leave the room in such a hurry? I mean... You stopped me, for something. Why?’’ His smile only grew wider and he reached for his coat. ‘’Maybe we’ll meet again,..’’ And by this he walked out, this time without anything stopping him. There I was, left stood in the middle of the warmth. Gently, I whispered ‘’Maybe we will..Dracus’’ At this, the fire went out.
