Silently I sit alone in the dark,
A bitter cold consumes my heart and soul.
I can't seem to escape this winter's bark.
None to turn to, no friend that will console.
I'm stuck in a rut, tumbling down this pit,
A labyrinth of utter pain and woe.
Who in this world can help me out of it?
Amidst this darkness, is hidden a glow,
A faint shard of light to guide me along.
Colors so bright they will never dissolve.
'Twill help me do right and keep me from wrong.
My troubles will melt and my guilt absolve.
Hold on to this light and don't let it leave,
Just trust in yourself and always believe.
