[Eidlevice]: 521.Only Me

This was just an out of the blue poem that I wrote when I was hanging out on the grass.

The clouds slowly crawled across
The sky. I could smell the freshly
Cut grass and pines around me
Mix together, giving off a
Wonderful fragrance

The summer sun bathed my clothes
And face in a bright orange glow
I sighed, staring up at the many
Pure white shapes that the sun
Bathed with its orange face

It was only me. Only me lying alone
In the grass. Only me listening to the
Melodic singing of the blue birds. Only
Me watching the dance of the clouds.
Only me.

I lay there with my head resting upon
My folded arms. Nothing bothered me.
Nothing came up in my view. I was
Warmed by the silent rays of the sun.
I lie between the sky and the earth

Between reality and fantasy I lay.
Far away from reality and so close
To fantasy. I closed my eyes and
Thought. I smiled and inhaled
Deeply

It was only me
