there is an alley
in a city
overthrown with chaos
and hate

there stands a man

leaving what's not
and so it cycles...




and down the street
walks a man
who lost his wife
and his kin...
all for him
birth was a loss
of what meant most...

walks a woman
down the road
to tell her parents
she's been pregnant
for 7 months...
a man pushes her
against the wall
a sob; a wail
but no one stalled
no one saw
him stab her navel
left her to drop
so he'd feel better...




hands drenched in blood
the man who lost
feels no pain
feel nothing...
all excited
ecstatic at best
he walks the street
to get a drink
but pulled in an alley
he hears a shot
now he knows
all is lost...




and so a man
walks down the street
shoving a gun
into his pocket...
now he knows
the look in the eyes
of nothing
