NOT DONE

Akward glances in the hall.
Her heart beats in her red ears.
She feels her face get hot.
Her eyes start to release tears,
And she offers him a smile.
She looks away fast in hopes that he had Smiled back.
Maybe he hates her.
Maybe he scowled at her. 
Looking away was a good idea.
But now she will never know.
Maybe she will say hello.
Maybe another day.

He looks up from the ground for one second,
But catches the eyes of his once-beloved.
She looks away, and turns around. 
His heart beats fast, and then slows down. 
He saw her smile, and he looks behind him.
Was there another guy invisible she saw.
He smiled back, it is an unwritten law.
But she turned away. 
Maybe he will talk to her.
Maybe another day.

She sits in homeroom- its the first day of School.
She wears her best outfit, she's feeling Quite cool.
She looks to her left and then to her right.
And sees a young man who is attracting her Sight.
She notices it her boyfriend from years long Ago.
Surrounded by girls now wouldn't you know.
"That's why we broke up" she thought to Herself.
She moved from her seat, and let her heart Melt.

He walked into homeroom and sat next to her.
She didn't notice, though he wasn't sure.
His exes surround him, and he gets annoyed.
He wants to apologize to the girl that he Toyed.
He knows its his fault when she moves from Her desk.
It is his fault that they've become such a Mess. 

The girl went to college and he did the same.
She was sick of playing this game.
He moved to the East Coast, and She to the West.
Their lives became better, and they forgot the mess.
They could have been happy, smiling and free.
Just because she didn't look up to see.
Maybe he smiled maybe he frowned.
One small mistake ruined everything now.
They could be together, but neither had known
That both had been ready to forgive and Condone.
