Irresponsive.
Silence says nothing at all.
Throws me into worry, into an endless fall.
What if's.
They all fill my head,
Accompanied with urges to be dead.

I ruined everything for nothing.
I ruined everything for you.
Lady, I was led on,
But not by you,
I led myself to believe in something that was not.

Riddled, puzzled, surprised.
Eyes that used to hypnotize,
Now remind me of all the lies
I've had to say to save my own skin.
I'm eternally trapped by and within,
What will always be my greatest sin.

Damned, punished, betrayed.
Yet, by what?
My own thoughts, of course.
From what flowed forth the remorse,
That now so fatally has cut and bled.

Eternally, mortally wounded.
Your silence is like death.
It fills everything and takes the same,
Even robs me of my breath,
The one I'd always give in your name.

Hopefully, hopeless.
I have to clear my mind.
Maybe I should shell up into solitude.
I know my love, Lady, is true,
Mayhaps misery'll be followed by beatitude,
But until then, Lady, Adieu.
