To write the severity,
Without leaving out clarity,
Seems like a task unthinkable.

What is love and all it entails?
Is it the companionship in life?
Is this in what love prevails?

A boy finds a love after changing
His ways from impatient and raging,
From stubborn, arrogant, and full of strife,
To a thing full of philosophy,
Finite but infinite in possibility.

He finds this 'love' but is betrayed,
And uses another to fall into, onto.
Not love he wanted, hopeless and romantic,
But a love to rebuild, to be again.

Yet, as love comes it may go,
He saw a new fire,
He caught a glimpse of new desire.

Enthralled he was, and mayhaps still is,
By this other being.
She was real for they conversed,
For they wrote and they versed.
They laughed. They fell.
What was going on neither was seeing.

Remained this way and up they went,
While all this time and effort spent,
Until one day their chatting stopped,
All connections suddenly dropped.

A boy wonders what had transpired,
And all this thinking left him tired.
But he stayed focused on what he desired,
And hoped one day she'd be as inspired.

As love may come, love shall go.
To no one does love anything owe,
More than oft love grants us woe,
Rarely is it quid pro quo.

Just as boy had eyed,
Boy was denied.
At first she couldn’t decide,
Didn’t know what was inside.
But now and answer she could provide,
Yet at that moment, Boy had died.
