I.
They watch from the edge of the woods,
Their eyes gleam gold in the light of your fire,
Their nostrils quiver as they smell
The scents of your cooking foods.
II.
Setting up camp in the wild,
You can never become one with nature,
For nature will rip you to shreds
To feed her hungering child.
III.
You lie in your flimsy shelter
And listen to the wolves howl.
Their paw tracks circle your cold fire
In the morning, all helter skelter.
