I am what I want to be
I wonder what others see in me
I hear the gossip as they talk
I see them whisper as I walk

I want to be with the ones I've known
I am only loneliness prone.
I pretend that the world isn't so cold
I feel depression as I grow old

I touch the mirror to see if this is real
I worry that my fate already has a seal
I cry about others that against me have sinned
I am no more than a whisper on the wind

I understand the feelings inside us
I say you don't really know the strangers on the bus
I dream I could be who I want to be
I try to make them notice me
I hope new friendships bring me no dangers
I am just one in a million strangers...
