From the darkness
To lights excess
To dark once more
You do not realize what’s in store

The moon is out
With a light so eerie
Giving evident doubt
Just a single eye with a stare so weary

It rises to the tip of its arch
To stay right above for now
Then it starts its descending march
Something the stars allow

It falls in slow
And it seems to go
Straight into the ground
Like a comet coming
It’s all mind numbing
Shadows dance around

It sinks all in
Completely to dissipate
Into the deepest of bins
All because the sun it does hate

The sun and moon meet eye and eye
Only for moments brief
Then the moon runs and says goodbye
To see it all, it’s still a hard belief

The sun starts up with a stretch
And shadows scare away in defeat
All evils vanquish of those wretch
A power impossible to beat

Higher and higher it does climb
Revealing all evils and every crime
So they may be taken in
Revealing all the mortal sin

Finished going up this high
A time of no shadows
The sun is highest in the sky
The only thing to do now is go low

It’s falling down
With silent sound
Like a meteor with eminent impact
It will come back by fact

It drops more and more
And the moon peaks up
“Is he gone for now?
Can I rise up?”

Asking that question
The sun dies out yellow
The moons time of resurrection
The weary eye fellow

He creeps over and up
As the sun drifts lazily off
Reigning his time again
So very appraising

Up he rises
Missed by the shadows
A hello from the wolves
They call to him

Up in his rightful place
We see the eerie glow again
These two eyes complete the earths face
Always on time, never have to send

They come and differ in time
Yet so important they are
Beauty at one time
Brutal at others
A poem with a never-ending rhyme

This only begins
What is with no end
A piece of the entire end
A cycle to repeat over and over again

These two giants are never to meet
But illuminate the paved street
One thing lets for sure
This is a transition perfectly pure
