[Spirit]: 726.Animungus Lupus: Chapter Eight

I instantly pick up Razz’s scents. I pick up my pace. The rain is coming down hard and I am beginning to lose Razz’s scent. Just as I begin to lose hope I spot him in a near by cave. It is small but able to fit three. I run right inside and settle by him. I lick his muzzle to let him know I am here. I then Change to human form making sure I cover my feminine parts and snuggle up to him. Razz is soaking wet. Craig walks in and changes to human form as well. “Is he ok?” Craig asks. “Yes. But he is in shock and his wounds aren’t very serious except the one on his neck. I am trying to awaken him so I can bandage him up. Would you please go out and find a Eucalyptus plant and some big leafs? It would help me a lot.” “Yeah, sure.” Craig turns back to full wolf and runs out of the small cave to find the items I asked for.  While Craig is away I work on waking Razz up. “Razz. Please wake up. My friend you need to come home. You are still family. Plus I need you to try and change to human form so I can work on your wounds.” I here Razz groans as he changes to human form. “I am s-s-sorry Spirit. I shouldn’t have challenged you. The others are right. You are a good leader. I am sorry for challenging you and cheating. I am not welcome back. I refuse to go back. The others might kill me.” He says in a hoarse voice. “Oh Razz. My friend.” I rub his forehead as I place it gently in my lap. “You are never banned from the pack. Your apologies are unnecessary. You are always able to challenge the pack leader or leaders. It is your right. You just have to remember the consequences. I am here now. So hush and rest. I will bandage you up and you, me, and Craig can return to the pack when the rain stops. For now rest.” Razz lays his head back down and is soon asleep.  Craig returns with what I asked for. He shakes the water off and changes to human form. He sits beside me and cuddles up to keep all of us warm. I work on Razz’s wounds, patching them up. When I finish I lay down beside him and Craig lies beside me. He wraps me in his arms as I do the same for Razz. We all keep each other warm. I soon fall asleep.  When I awake I notice that the rain has stopped. Razz and Craig are still asleep. I turn to full wolf and work my way out as quietly as I can. I then run off to go get some food for all of us. Not long after I leave, I spot two rabbits. I creep up silently and wait for the right moment. When they get close enough I pounce and land on both of them. I grab one in my mouth and snap its head. I grab the other in my paws and snap its neck. I leave them where they lay and go to find another. I soon come across another rabbit and chase after it. I pounce and slam it into the ground, killing it instantly. I pick it up and head back towards the other two. When I retrieve the other two I run back to the small cave.  When I arrive Craig is up and waiting. He knew where I had gone. As soon as I walk into the cave, Craig kisses me on the muzzle and I lick him on the face in response. I turn back to human and wake up Razz I give him one of the rabbits and Craig the other. I dig into mine and finish it within three minutes. I look over at Craig to see him finished as well. Razz was still working on his.  When we all finished I checked Razz’s wounds and we changed back into full wolf form. We all then set out for home. I was eager to get home. I wanted to be surrounded by my pack and family. I was tired of traveling.   We arrived back at the falls within an hour. We all changed back to human form. When everyone saw that we were back they all rushed out to greet us. Some started to growl at Razz but I put a stop to that quick. “You will not growl or do anything to Razz. He is family. He admits that what he did was wrong and apologized many times. There is no need to treat Razz any different than before. We must all learn to forgive. Now that we are all back together, let us return to the cave behind the falls. I am quite tired from traveling for so long.” We all returned to the falls and settled down for a nap. Razz was accepted back in and was soon chatting away.   I went into a deeper part of the cave with some wood and fire3 stones. I built a fire and it soon became big enough to keep the entire area of where I was warm. I turned into my Anubis form and lied down. I was thinking about Craig and asking him something when he waltzed in. He was in his wolf form. He settled beside me and licked my muzzle. I returned the gesture with a lick to his muzzle as well. I then turned back into human form and Craig did the same. Paul came in and handed me some cloths and checked my wounds. Then he left. When I was sure Craig and I were alone. I said to him, “Craig.” “Hmm?” “Would you uh like to be Alpha male of the pack? To rule the pack by my side? I would love to have you as my mate. I feel safe and secure around you. I am always happy when I am with you. Will do me the honors of becoming my mate?” I asked in a bit of a rush and low voice. “I uh I don’t know I mean…” “Craig what I am trying to say is I love you. I want to be with you. To spend the rest of my life by your side. If you say no I will leave it be and we can just be good friends. But if you say yes then I must announce it to the pack and we will become one.” “Spirit. I have been through a lot with you these past few weeks. You have surprised me with your strength and your love for your pack. You care for those whom you see as family. You care for those who need it. You are not only a good leader but also a good friend. Why do you want me by your side? When you could have any wolf you wanted?” Craig says shyly but questioningly. I reply, “Because Craig, you showed me strength and courage. You stood up to me for the first time when we met. The others didn’t. You cared for me when I was hurt. You were loving when you didn’t even know it. Because Craig I truly love you and you would make a great leader. That is why I want you as a mate. Will you be my mate?” I ask. “Yes. I will. I love you to Spirit. I think I always have since we met. I just don’t think I noticed or saw that I did. I would love to be your mate and the Alpha male in the pack. But will the others accept me?” He asks questioningly. “Yes. They will if I do. And Craig, I accept you passionately and lovingly. They will accept you because I do. We must now go and tell the pack so that we can officially be one.”   I kiss Craig on the cheek and he returns my kiss. I stand up and walk out of my little area with Craig beside me. I walk in front of the falls and with Craig beside me I say proudly, “Craig has decided to become my mate. He cared for me when I was injured. He taught me many things on our journey back to you. He taught me that I can do anything if I try he also taught me something important. Craig taught me that with time and patience, anyone could find true love. Craig is my love. Will you accept him as your Alpha male? Will you allow him to walk by my side? Or will you reject him? Answer now and freely. I wish to here your responses. Speak freely now. Let us hear your opinions.”   Razz was the first to stand and speak, “ Craig. I just have a few words to say. First thank you for giving Spirit someone to trust and love besides us. Second and most important welcome to the pack. I congratulate you two. Craig, I would be honored to have you an Alpha male.” Paul stood and spoke next, “If Spirit wants you as our other Alpha and as her mate then we and I think I speak for everyone when I say welcome to the pack Craig.” The whole pack then stands up and says, “Welcome to the pack Craig. We are happy if Spirit is happy.” I look at all of them and say, “ Thank you. All of you. I knew you would accept him.”
  I turn to Craig and kiss him on the mouth, he returns my kiss and I hug him. I turn to full wolf form and so does the whole pack. I run out of the falls and into the night with Craig beside me and the pack behind me. I howl to the moon and the whole pack, including Craig, join in with me and we all howl in unison. Craig and me are going to be very happy. I just know it. I thank the goddess for sending me on that journey and allowing me to find Craig. We are all now one.
