The cool hard wooden surface of the bench
Touching the polyester-cotton blend of my skirt
Barely reaching the smooth milky skin of my legs
The smooth almost clear marble tops of the keys
Screaming out glee-full melody through the room
Bringing every tear to every female's eyes
Keeping grown men off their knees as I sing
Brought out upon the dreary summer's day
The water in the glass on the shelf with notes
I play what feels right, but I don't see them
The grass as green as could be that time
Yellow petals bringing splashes of sun beam
Through the darker more harsh days
Black shimmering across the faces
Shining with brilliance of first dew drops on leaves
Dripping with the eerie voice of sweet spring
Bubbling over the walls of injustice
Stealing that which is called ours and selling it
A profit none can turn into life without love
Light pallid against the sillouette of what could've been
As the drops of mystic fantasy crawls
Our skin tanned and bronzed like copper
Expensive yet beautiful in its own right
