For wedded bliss
Can swift decay
Into other things
Like green shadows
Left behind
By lying golden rings
In talk and pressure
Deep in heart
Where furrows all your pain
And hangs there like priceless art
Waiting to be seen again.
But joy can overcome
These sorrows
Swifter than any rum
If only eyes can seek the place
The soul has gone to run
Accepting in each sweeping gaze
A new level of learning
They soon my find
The forbidding heart
Has softened now with yearning
