If anyone had been on that road, they would have heard the squealing tires as the sleek body twisted about every turn. The street lamps created patches of light all along the road and on the car as well as it flew under them like a phantom. She gripped the steering wheel firmly with one hand, using the other to up shift and down shift as he passed through the turns. Her feet moved in an almost unconscious motion, hitting the clutch, the gas and the break, sometimes both the gas and break, to optimize his drifting.
The sun was just about to rise as she found herself cornering into a long line of hairpin turns. The road was a little wet from a midnight rain, but she never slowed. The tires gripped tightly to the road, screaming along like a banshee.
One… she counted in her head as she took the first turn, her car almost backwards with the speed. The back fishtailed as she righted herself in the straightaway, but only monetarily before she found herself in the next turn. Two… she continued on, never releasing the gas even through the tight turn. Three… Four… there were six turns in all and with each turn she floored the gas, pushing her car as it screamed back at her. Trees and brush and guardrail flew by like paint being brushed vigiourously across a canvas, all mixing and blending together with no way to tell what was what. Five… only one more turn before the long straightaway, which lead right to her apartment. Her foot hit the floor as she came around the fifth turn, revealing the next and last of these tight, aggressive turns. Six… she counted off with a smile as she pushed her black beast into the turn. The tires squealed under her, the body of the car tilting into the turn, forcing itself to stay against the road though gravity was calling for it to topple over. When she came out of the turn the car was almost completely backwards, but she quickly righted the four-wheeled monster beneath her and took the long, straight road back home.
