For my first novel (working title: "Telkar Chronicles: Book One") I finished with more than 346,000 words. Single spaced, using rather wide margins, and using both sides of the paper and using the font Times New Roman #12, I wound up with 595 pages---I just hope this doesn't wind up balooning to almost 1000 pages if and when it does get commercially published o_O

I am not overly educated on paper sizes---is my paper choice, 8 1/2 inch by 11 inch paper near the measurements of A4 paper?
