I don't know :-P

In my mind I imagine something about the size of the ET picture thing on the mainpage (340 x 60 pixels)

Realtively simple - Blues maybe and just 'WritersCo' written on it.


And then under that (not part of the banner)
A 'Welcome to Writersco'...seems kind of friendly.
