You'll have to do a lot of plot loophole sealing to cover the 'room for a new god' aspect, what with the basic definition of a god suggesting omnipotence. ^^ I can't imagine that a god would write something on anyone's tombstone, though, and it sounds like an awfully cowardly way to off someone. o.o
