Hello, this is your local iippo in need of help :)

I am a second-year fine art student in the university of Coventry, England, and next year will be my final year which dictate the result of my degree (so heavy-duty pressure full steam ahead).

Fine art is basically painting, sculpting, installations etc... But I have chosen the internet and Flash-animation as my weapon of choice, for several reasons. Recently I had a great idea for what to create: A kind of Flash dictionary, like a pokedex, an interactive encyclopaedia of artyness. And not all biased and made by me, but also having collaborative elements.

Would you like to collaborate?

The full of the project is worked on in Elftown:

Here's a brief explanation:
It's all to do with machinery. Either literally or symbolically or just vaguely connected.
I want all sorts of creative, philosophical, artistic, awesome things that have something to do with machinery, anything from finished writings to base ideas, suggestions and anything.

In the end, all pieces will be Flashiefied, but that doesn't necessarely mean animation. Still images as a slideshow, text as a slideshow or read out loud (accompanied with images or not), and any other form that I'm not aware of right now.

All contributors will of course get credit where it is due, I'll just be the editor with the final word (because I'm the one getting graded :/)

Ideas (the ones that deal with writing

- Animation or comic
"Someone always has it worse than you - pity the poor bugger who has it worst." A machine with all the parts being all emo and complaining, and the very last one just emo-defeats them all with how much its life sucks. Dialogue needed.

-Dialogue (comic/animation/play/speech)
About the social progress that came with the railroad and locomotive. Hopefully many country's views, since it was a universal "homigosh"-moment when they invented the locomotive.
-"We now do more work and see more society, acquire more knowledge, by personal observation, in one day of railway life, than we were wont to do in weeks of 'the good old time'." J. Scott Russell (some engineery person back then)
               -Juhani Aho: Rautatie. http://www.gutenberg.org/files/10481/10481-8.txt
-"We discover the souls of the machine, we are in love with the worker at his bench, we are in love with the farmer on his tractor, the engineer on his locomotive. We bring creative joy into every mechanical activity. We make peace between man and the machine. We educate the new man." Dziga Vertov (cinematographer)

-Comic
All the sci-fi machinic monsters gathered together to plan the utter destruction of humanity (they all always seem to fail when on their own >:P)
               -Matrix
               -The Borg
               -Replicators from SG-1
               -Sentinels from X-Men
               -General Grievous
               -More suggestions please.
