“Mothers, they say look after your first born child, for once you leave him for only a minute, a chance is given to the fairies and elf’s to snatch him…

Lasandra looked down at her smiling baby boy. His golden hair shown in the sun, and his deep blue eyes gave him a wise look. He is only 4 months, and she loves him dearly. They were sitting outside on the green lawn, admiring the clear and wonderful day, while they wait for Lasandra’s husband to arrive home. A long grass tickled the bays nose, and he giggled while clapping his hands. Lasandra smiled, and turned her head to the driveway, certain she had heard a car. But to her surprise, the driveway stood empty. Turning back to her baby, she saw him looking into the woods next to their house.

“What’s there my boy? What do you see?” She said straining her eyes to see something, but despite her affords she couldn’t see anything. The baby kept on looking into the woods, smiling at what only he could see. Lasandra shook her head, trying to think about her husband, but not before long, she felt the eerie feeling they were being watched. A shiver ran up her spine as she turned to look at the forest. By then she realised her baby boy was crawling towards the forest. As quickly as her mother instincts came back to her, she stood up and grabbed her baby in one smooth motion. As she headed for their house, the baby started crying.

“come on my pumpkin, I think you need your rest.” She said more to herself than the baby. Once inside, she went upstairs and put her boy in his bed. He didn’t stop crying and she realised she didn’t bring along his bottle.

“I’ll be right back sweety.”

After tugging him in, she quickly went down to the kitchen to fetch his bottle. As she was busy filling his bottle, she noticed he had stopped crying.

“Maybe he was just tired.” She thought to herself. Finishing his bottle, she went back upstairs, ad as she entered his room, something moving at the corner of her eye caught her attention. As she turned to look, it was gone. She noticed she had left the window open, and quickly closed it. Turning to her boy, she was so shocked she let out a terrible scream. Where she had left her boy, now lay a deformed baby with pointy ear and too big eyes. His skin is a bit green with no hair on its head. She dropped the bottle and fainted on the spot.

Evin and Elvineen stood in the shadows of the forest next to the small white house.

“I think I heard the baby cry.” Elvineen said looking at the house.

“Don’t worry, the fairies knows what they are doing.” Evin answered while scratching his long pointy ear. It wasn’t long before the two faries arrived with the baby boy they stole.

“Oh his beautiful!” Elvineen said as she took the baby in her arms.

“Lets all go home and have a celebration to our new son!” Evin said.

Everyone smile and headed deeper into the forest, never to return to the white house at the edge of the forest.
