For I Shall Not Be Forgiven

Dark clouds on the horizon
Bring the storm that will destroy me
Take my soul into the ending
Let it loose in lands of fear
Suck out the hope from heart within me
Lay down the truth that will destroy me
Forever shall the fire burn
And rain fall bloody on my dreams

Endless depths of dark and night
Find the war and bring the plight
Forever pain, forever after
Darkness 'round me, taking over
Lay down my body burnt and broken
Throw down my heart all torn and open
From dreams alive are hope and faith
Torn from me on this ending day

Like fear itself I cower from it
Not ever daring look upon it
The truth of why I deserve this suffering
The truth of what dread deeds I’ve done
And flying over see hope abandon
No safe ledge for it to land on
No reason for it to swoop and save me
Deserving am I of this fate

When all seems lost in fear and doubt
A light comes near and I reach out
“Save me from this wretched land
Help me please and take my hand!”
But light sees what dread deeds I’ve done
And draws away back to the sun
Hiding from me ‘hind the clouds
Knowing I must not be found

I cower again my spirits fading
And tell myself to stop believing
For I am fully undeserving
Of the life I once had lived
‘Tis only just I should be taken
Thrown to ending land forgotten
Left to suffer and to die
My soul trapped here 'till end of time
