Silent screams ring through empty streets
lifeless whispers of a foreign memory
violence breathes everlasting peace
timeless creed of a dead society

every time you speak, you're asking why
"why can we see the truth?"
because you won't open your eyes!

Hide behind your dreamland
hold tight what you believe
take your comfort where you can
in your world of make-believe
hide behind your questions
but what have you achieved?
what prize did you expect
for spending your whole life asleep?

The world grows dark as the night grows longer
sunlight falling on the thick black air
life repeating as the clock ticks onward
blindly crawling through a world we fear

Wonder why the world doesn't make sense?
What did you hope to learn, if you're
to scared to leave your bed?
