The moments that last forever
are but an instant, here and gone
each second passes like an hour
but it never seems quite enough
And as the senses take in nirvana
at every heartbeat, every breath
hear the whispered words, ambrosia
spread and soaking every moments breadth
The eyes taste, oh so subtle,
the very essence of this bliss
and fingertips draw pictures
in the soft affection of intimates
Time itself stops marching
and stops by to pay respects,
to the quintessential markings
of this life at its very best
for nothing quite compares
to the peace attained thus
when two waywards come together
a pair of half-souls joined as one
