A silhouetted figure
walks down a lonely path
a pirhouette that lingers
in anticipation of my past
I can hardly sit still
oh, what a sight for these sore eyes!
I can't explain how I feel
watching your pictures come to life

one day it will all be over, and we'll be home again
one day we'll defeat the best laid plans of mice and men!

Welcome, welcome, welcome
to the place you left
so long ago
but you're still welcome home
Welcome, welcome, welcome
you've been gone so long
but you've returned
so I say, welcome home!

Arms opened wide
and a great big loving smile
as I recognize
someone I haven't seen in a while
How could I forget
a face so dear to me?
I'll love you 'til the end
no matter where our lives may lead!

And one day it will all be over, and we'll be home again
and one day we'll look back and laugh at the problems way back when!

Eyes shut tight
as I try hard not to see
in my attempts to hide
from this flood of memories
time passes by
and I'm forced to watch it go
as I wonder whatever happened
to that person I used to know

And one day it will all be over, and we'll be home again
and one day we won't care about whatever may happen next

you've had your fill, you've spent your time
And now that it's the end, there's no more time to have regrets

you've heard the stories, seen the light
and now that it's the end, it's time to finally come home again!

Finally we don't feel so lonely, at long last, we've come home
Finally we see that it was just like this all along!
