What good is love
if the world is nothing but happiness?
What good is a fireplace
when on the surface of the sun?
And yet, a candle
its flame so small and insignificant
drives out more than its share of darkness in the night.

What good is love
if its absence doesn't bring you pain?
What good is air
when on the surface of the moon?
it hurts to leave
because it is only what matters most in life
that we cannot live without, so we long to breathe

What good is light, in a world without darkness?
What good is hate, in a world without love?
What good is strife, in a world made of hardships?
What good is life, in a world made of joy?
